In 1998, the officially registered population of Kfarsghab was of 3,772 persons, making it the fourth populated area of the district of Zawiyeh. It is estimated that 25% of the registered persons (ca. 900 persons) live actually in the village. Emigration took its toll of Kfarsghab population - but also blessed it economically - since the mid 19th century. It is estimated that 20,000 persons around the world - mainly in USA and in Australia - are related by origin to Kfarsghab. In this section, we will try to tell the history of this emigration.

En 1998, la population de Kfarsghab inscrite officiellement était de 3.772 personnes, faisant d'elle la quatrième agglomération la plus peuplée du district de Zawiyeh. Il est estimé que 25 % des personnes inscrites (ca. 900 personnes) vivent actuellement au village. L'émigration a prélevé son dû de Kfarsghab - mais l'a aussi gratifié économiquement - depuis le milieu du 19ème siècle. On estime que 20.000 personnes autour du monde - surtout aux Etats-Unis et en Australie - sont rattachés par leur origine à Kfarsghab. Nous exposerons dans cette section l'histoire de cette émigration.
